“We get to experience and try all kinds of instruments. They disguised learning as random fun stuff and we don’t even realize we were learning until we knew all about the music and composers. I want to go back every year because there is always lots of fun stuff to do and I am interested in everything they do with us”

Ella Reynolds, age 10
Four year camper; Austin Peay State University General Session

“This is one of my favorite camps. My children want to go back every year, and we try to plan our summer vacation so that we can attend. The camp has different creative ways that they teach them the basics of music. This camp “tricks” them into learning and I love the creativity that they foster with each child. Camp Granada provided both my children a musical experience with telling stories, playing musical instruments and playing games that they enjoyed. They were both naming composers and wanting me to hear the musical pieces. Most of all, I like that the curriculum is designed to foster the love of music for the child’s mind. They are having fun and it is high energy. We have attended every year and every year my children want to go back.

Camp Granada is a first-rate music and arts integration summer program for our students. The curriculum is expertly designed by Dr. Eric Branscome to engage and facilitate student curiosity and discovery. Camp Granada also serves as a substantial fundraiser for our elementary music programs. The feedback from students, teachers, parents, and district leadership is always overwhelmingly positive. We look forward to continual implementation of Camp Granada in our district!

Our kids LOVE Camp Granada. Our daughter has been attending every year since the inaugural year and will be enjoying her last year this summer. They look forward to it year round, and enjoy playing the instruments, the art, and the camaraderie. It’s such a wonderful program and we are lucky to be a part of it!

“Camp Granada is a wonderful addition to the Music Education community in Clarksville. Dr. Branscome’s innovative program gives students the opportunity to experience music in many different forms. His creative themes and engaging selections hook students from the first day, and leave them wanting more as they leave. As a music educator, and as a parent whose children have participated, I highly recommend this program to everyone.”
